A note from one of Mr. Taylor’s first
students:
So sorry to read about the death
of one of my most memorable teachers. I have often spoke of him -
and his motivational style of teaching. I appreciate the web site - - a
great tribute - - I was a 1961 student of his at Marple Grade school. As
he was a Navy man, I too became. After 31 years in the Navy as an
officer, I retired in 2003 at the grade of Navy Captain. I then went to work
as the Iraq Coordinator for Antiterrorism Assistance for the U.S. Department of
State. I currently serve as a senior outreach coordinator for a U.S.
Congressman here in PA - assisting our many veterans of PA as well as our
active and reserve military serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Mr. Taylor was a motivational accelerator - and will always be remembered by me
as an exceptional American hero.
Bravo Zulu - as we say in the Navy - - Well Done.

As any of you who had Mr. Taylor as a
teacher know, one of his great hobbies was hunting arrowheads with his Dad,
Pops. Mr. Taylor left behind literally
thousands of arrowheads and other ancient relics that they found in the fields
of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware.
I have tried to acquire as many of these as I can along with
documentation from Mr. Taylor and his father.
If any of you former students out there would like these as momentos, I
would be happy to send some to you.
